About Healing Hearts Respite Foundation
Healing Hearts Respite Foundation (HHRF), based out of Northern Virginia, is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization, inspired by the many families in our community that have touched our hearts. These families have weathered storms of cancer, life threatening diseases and other illnesses. We have witnessed amazing demonstrations of faith, strength and beauty from these families. Like Sea Glass, their hearts were broken, tossed and tumbled. When Sea Glass washes up on the beach, it has been revitalized and refreshed with a new beauty. We hope that each family’s hearts are renewed, revitalized and refreshed after taking a time of respite at our beach home. Our hope is that the families that will visit our respite home will connect with God and each other by setting aside the everyday burdens of their storm and make lasting memories with their loved ones.
